We have four of the best designed bus stations in the world

25 May 2016

In December I asked whether passengers would benefit from bus stops with a bit more creativity. It was after I saw this article on the Guardian website about a book called ‘Soviet Bus Stops’ by photographer Christopher Herwig (since shortlisted for the Diagram Prize: Oddest Book Title of the Year).

Seems like we’ve been putting all our imagination into bus stations instead. The Telegraph has revealed the world’s ten best designed bus stations and stops for 2016. Four of the stations are in the UK – Preston, Norwich, Stoke-on-Trent city centre and Slough. Still, none of our stops made it onto the list.
