Transport Focus response to West Midlands franchise shortlist

Commenting on the Government’s West Midlands franchise bidder shortlist, Transport Focus chief executive, Anthony Smith, said:

“Passengers will welcome further clarity about their future train services. We will now be looking to bidders to demonstrate they have got the passenger at the heart of their plans.”

“Passengers told us that their key priorities are more punctual and reliable trains, more seats, and a better value for money service. It is vital that the future operator keeps a focus on these important aspects.”
