Responding to rail disruption at London Bridge and the South East

Transport Focus, the independent watchdog, is working closely with Network Rail and operators to help resolve performance issues linked to London Bridge redevelopment.

An industry taskforce has produced a number of performance improvement plans to drive structured continuous improvement in London South East, informed by passenger insight from Transport Focus.

Anthony Smith, chief executive of the watchdog, said:

“We are pleased to be actively involved in this work – making sure that passengers’ needs and experiences are at the heart of it.”

As well as the National Rail Passenger Survey (NRPS) and existing performance data, the watchdog is developing tools to help operators use instant passenger feedback from social media and other sources.

The next NRPS is published in January 2016 and will highlight whether improvements have been noticed by passengers.
