Arrival of Delay Repay 15 for Northern rail passengers

Welcoming the arrival of Delay Repay 15 compensation for Northern rail passengers, David Sidebottom, Director of  Transport Focus says:

“Northern passengers have endured a torrid time this year and there is still a long way for the rail industry to go to improve day to day punctuality and reliability to levels that can rebuild trust.

“Passengers want a service they can rely on, but the news they can now claim compensation for delays of 15 minutes or more will go some way to softening the impact of ongoing disruption.

“Transport Focus called for this compensation following the unprecedented disruption last summer. We would like to hear Northern using station and in-train announcements to remind passengers they are entitled to claim whenever a service is delayed beyond the 15 minute threshold.”
