May 2019 rail timetable changes – the passenger view

17 May 2019

Speaking about the new national summer rail timetable that begins to take effect from Sunday 19 May, Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent passenger watchdog Transport Focus, said:

“This time around passengers need the rail industry to deliver a smooth set of timetable improvements – so they can get on the train, and reliably use both welcome new and existing services.

“Train companies must have plenty of visible staff on hand to guide passengers, to answer questions on how these changes will affect them, and to explain what travel choices they have.

Passengers travelling on trains running under the new timetable from Sunday are invited to capture their experience, share it over Twitter using #PassengerVoice. They can also contact Transport Focus using the contact form on this website.
