Transport User Voice – July 2019 – West Midlands Bus Alliance Customer Charter

01 July 2019

Strong commitments to benefit passengers

The development of a bus customer charter is an important commitment of the West Midlands Bus Alliance chaired by Linda McCord of Transport Focus.

The charter sets out the Alliance’s shared values to customers and a promise to deliver high quality bus services, all in an easy to understand and genuine way.

The commitments in the charter were developed using customer and partner input along with research on what matters to passengers carried out by Transport Focus and other customer focused organisations.

The Bus Alliance is committed to ensuring that the promises within the charter are embedded practically and culturally across every Alliance partner and to communicating progress to passengers.

The charter was launched at a Bus Alliance Public meeting on 22 May 2019 and will initially be displayed at Bus Stations and Travel Centres in the West Midlands.  Bus operators will be encouraged to personalise the Charter and to display it on their vehicles.
