Virgin Trains price-guarantee app

Commenting on Virgin’s price-guarantee app, David Sidebottom, Transport Focus director, said:

“With less than half of passengers satisfied with the value for money of their ticket many will welcome this latest planned innovation from Virgin.

“Transport Focus research shows that passengers want a fares system that is simple to use, easy to understand and is flexible enough to cater to how people work and travel today.

“If train companies are ever going to enjoy the trust of the travelling public more fundamental reforms are still needed so that passengers no longer need to seek out deals that are ‘hidden’ in the system.”
