Tram Passenger Survey

About the Tram Passenger Survey

Transport Focus seeks improvements for transport users by understanding their needs and experiences, measuring passenger satisfaction across numerous transport modes.

Our Tram Passenger Survey (TPS) benchmarks six tram operators and authorities against one another across robust measurements of satisfaction.

The TPS is increasingly recognised as a benchmark for understanding the passenger experience and the survey is being used by local authorities to plan improvements. Future surveys will explore further why tram journeys achieve higher overall passenger satisfaction than other modes.
