West Midland bus driver strikes: Transport Focus comment

As bus driver strikes in the West Midlands continue, Transport Focus director David Sidebottom, said:

“Bus passengers in the West Midlands are facing more disruption as driver strikes enter a second day. We know that around half of regular bus users don’t have easy access to any other mode of transport for their journeys, so will be struggling to reach work, appointments or leisure activities. It is crucial that all parties get round the table to resolve this.

“In the meantime we are disappointed to see that National Express tickets won’t be accepted on other services. We are continuing to speak to all parties to push the passenger interest, and will continue monitoring their experience.”
