Commenting on the Office of Rail and Road investigation into Wales and Western train performance, Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith, said:
“Passengers want a more reliable service and better information when things go wrong. Disruption to services has been an ongoing source of frustration for those travelling in Wales and on the western route.
“It is critical that Network Rail and train companies deliver a more reliable day-to-day railway. Passengers will want to see a relentless focus on reliability and clear, accurate information from train operators so that they can plan their journeys with confidence. We urge every passenger affected by disruption to claim compensation.”
