On Sunday evening, a Great Western and a South Western Railway service collided to the east of Salisbury station.
Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by the train collision near Salisbury and for everyone responding to the situation.
“In the days to come, operators will need to communicate clearly to passengers about any ongoing disruption to services caused by the incident.”
