A sustainable transport system: Short term priorities, long term planning

Bus passenger project manager David Sidebottom will be speaking at ‘a sustainable transport system: short term priorities, long term planning’ which will be held on 22 October 2009 at Westminster, London.

David will be speaking about “public transport: improving bus services locally” and will concentrate on the following themes:

·         Measures in the Local Transport Bill to give local authorities more powers to improve bus services

·         The expanded role of Passenger Focus and what this means

·         The national free bus pass scheme and meeting the cost

·         Linking up public transport provision and making information more widely available to passengers both when planning journeys and at the point of use.
