First Annual Rail Conference: HLOS, SOFA and the future of Rail

27 November 2007

Passenger Focus’ chief executive Anthony Smith will be speaking at the First Annual Rail Conference on 27 November 2007. The conference will look at HLOS (High Level Output Specification), SOFA (Statement of Funds Available) and the future of rail: aspiration versus affordability.

The conference, supported by Network Rail will be held at Grant Thornton, Finsbury Square and will bring together the key players within the industry to discuss the delivery of the HLOS and the future role of rail.

Anthony will be speaking about rail passengers and sustainable railways. He will look at the current concerns of rail passengers and whether the HLOS goes towards addressing them, passengers confidence in the new ticketing structure, what more should have been included in the White Paper and do passengers surveys reflect what the railways are today rather than their potential?
