London and South East Route Utilisation Strategy

Network Rail has published a consultation draft of the ‘second generation’ Route Utilisation Strategy (RUS) for London and the South East.

The document is available on the Network Rail website at London and South East RUS. The consultation period runs until Friday, 18 March 2011.

Passenger Focus, London TravelWatch and Network Rail will be holding a briefing event on the RUS for Rail User Groups (RUGs) on the 24 January 2011 in central London. The briefing will provide RUGs in the wider south east with an early opportunity to hear about the work undertaken on the draft RUS, the current proposals within the strategy and how to respond to the consultation.

The event will be introduced by Passenger Focus and will include a presentation from Network Rail on the RUS development process and the gaps and options identified. Please confirm your attendance by 17 January 2011.
