Managing out of the recession: The challenges facing rail in CP5

19 November 2009

Passenger Focus Board Member Nigel Walmsley will be speaking at ‘managing out of the recession: the challenges facing rail in CP5’ event, which will be held on 19 November 2009 at Grant Thornton, London.

There has been much discussion around the delivery of capacity enhancements in CP4 but beyond this, what can we look for the railways to deliver in CP5 and beyond? Enhancements such as Crossrail and Thameslink have been in the pipeline for years; what are the projects of the future?

This conference focuses on the evolution of the railways post 2014 looking at the delivery of high speed rail and electrification, the potential of new technologies and other future projects.
