We would like to invite you to join our Board for our conference, Longer distance journeys: are we well connected?, at the ICC in central Birmingham, between 1.30 and 4.30pm on 12 November.
Individuals and companies rely on transport infrastructure to get people to work, goods to market and to connect communities. But what are the choices, and what are the challenges?
The conference will focus on the factors that are involved in making the decisions about how to travel – how much will it cost, is the journey straightforward, what degree of comfort can I expect?
Speakers include:
- Graham Dalton, chief executive, Highways Agency
- Tom Stables, managing director, National Express coaches
- Andy Cooper, managing director, CrossCountry trains
- Stephen Rhodes, director of operations, Centro
- Anthony Smith, chief executive, Passenger Focus.
The conference will be followed by a networking reception, also at the ICC, between 5.00 and 6.30pm.
This is an opportunity to meet our Board members and senior staff, and to learn more about our work.
Our Board is also meeting in public on the morning of Thursday 13 November at the Copthorne Hotel.
Please email michelle.calvert@transportfocus.org.uk for more details and to confirm your attendance. Click here for the Board meeting papers (zip file).
