Northern and TransPennine Express (TPE) franchise renewal – get your voice heard in York

The Department for Transport (DfT) will be holding three public consultation meetings for the new Northern and TPE franchises in Edinburgh, York and Preston. This is an important opportunity to get your voice heard, as well as understand the key stages of the re-franchising process. The meetings will include presentations about both the Northern and TPE train service specifications and information about the consultation process. Sharon Hedges, Passenger Focus’s passenger manager, will also be focusing on passengers’ satisfaction and priorities for improvements. There will be opportunities for questions.

In addition, the Department for Transport will also be holding station events at Manchester Piccadilly on 3 July between 4pm and 6pm, in Leeds on 9 July and in Newcastle on 31 July. A further date at Sheffield station is still to be confirmed.
