What is the strategic road network?
25 March 2015
England’s strategic road network (SRN) is around 4,300 miles of motorways and major ‘A’ roads. That’s around two per cent of all roads in England by length, but the SRN carries a third of all traffic by mileage – and two–thirds of all heavy goods vehicles in England by mileage.
