Bus punctuality seminars with the Traffic Commissioners

10 June 2015

Bus passengers tell us that punctuality is their top priority for improvement so we are looking at ways to make improvements.

Working with local authorities and operators we considered when, where and why buses were delayed and asked what they were doing about this in our report What’s the hold up? Exploring bus service punctuality.

We are holding six punctuality seminars across England during June and July to talk to the people responsible for making sure buses show up on time. Traffic Commissioners will also speak about new guidance which has been just issued. This will be an opportunity to share good practice with peers and ask questions of the regulator.

The dates and venues for the events are as follows:

  • North East – Leeds – 16 June
  • South West – Bristol – 18 June
  • North West – Liverpool – 29 June
  • West Midlands – Birmingham – 1 July
  • South East – London – 9 July
  • East of England – Cambridge – 23 July

Representatives from the bus industry and local authorities who are interested in attending can find out more by emailing: stakeholders@transportfocus.org.uk.
