Have your say on north east transport

02 November 2015

The independent transport watchdog asks: is the North East well connected – or out on a limb?

Transport Focus is hosting a conference and public Board meeting in Gateshead and Newcastle on 11 and 12 November. Both events are free and open to the public although registration is required.

On Wednesday 11 November from 2 to 5pm at BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art, Gateshead, we will explore how well connected the North East is locally and to the rest of the country, and how the different forms of transport can work together to improve this. Jim O’Sullivan, will give a keynote speech setting out the regional perspective on connecting the north east. Tobyn Hughes, MD of Nexus, and Robert Montgomery, MD of Stagecoach UK Bus, will draw on what lessons can be learned from local services.

You are also invited to join us on Thursday 12 November from 10am to 12 noon at Jury’s Inn Hotel, Newcastle, for our Board meeting.
