Accessible transport: unlocking a better normal
08 July 2021
As part of our accessibility webinar earlier this year we asked disabled and non-disabled members of our Transport User Panel to complete an online survey asking about public transport use before and during the pandemic. Some of the headline results were released as part of the event but there was more to come.
We have now combined the remainder of the Transport User Panel survey with the results from our weekly Covid-19 tracker research to give a much more detailed look at the behaviours, experiences and attitudes of disabled people during Covid.
It looks at the impact of disability on work and other opportunities, the differing perceptions of safety among disabled and non-disabled travellers and views of ‘lanyards’ or cards that discreetly inform people that the individual needs a bit more support or time.
