Boosting bus user satisfaction in the West Midlands

03 December 2015

It’s not glamorous. It’s not in the headlines. It’s not cutting edge. But it really matters. Working to improve the quality of bus services is detailed hard work.

We are now part of the West Midlands Bus Alliance Board – Centro (the local authority transport group), bus companies and local councillors. This builds on years of earlier partnership work we were part of.

Using our Bus Passenger Survey as a key measure of success the Board is driving forward a host of improvements to keep existing passengers on board and make bus a better choice for more people.

Passengers have noticed – the latest Centro BPS results are heading in the right direction – and then can, of course, see how they’re getting on to others around the country.

Could this be a model for other regions?
