East Coast helps cut through the fares jungle

16 October 2013

East Coast has recently introduced something that we’ve been going on about for ages.  On the website if you pick two singles that add up to more than the price of a return valid on the same trains the site invites you to reconsider – see below.  It also warns you if you pick an Anytime Return when a cheaper return fare would suffice, but it does this less intrusively because it is possible that people have opted for that flexibility deliberately. Small steps, but this helps passengers to get the best value ticket.
