First and Stagecoach buses in Sheffield: Part One

Looking at transport in and around Sheffield. Took the First Bus run number 22 from Commercial Street to Nether edge. It was on time, which was a good start. A modern bus turned up which was clean inside and out, had Wi-Fi, comfy seats and a good welcome from the driver. For a mid-morning service there were plenty of passengers on board.

But the state of the roads – as we left the city centre we crashed into pothole after pothole. The bill for new shock absorbers must be huge! No wonder survey after survey of car and van drivers shows potholes to be the number one priority for improvement.
