Gamekeeper turned poacher?

British Transport Police does a lot of good work in keeping us all safe as we move about the transport network. So my colleague was surprised to find that the force had turned to crime, perhaps to pay for a Christmas party?

Gamekeeper

On a serious note, those who have worked with me will testify that I hate jargon, and this notice is a great example of why. Internally, ‘cycle theft operations’ may mean to tackle cycle thefts – but to the rest of the world, it sounds like a raiding party.

We know that passengers want organisations to talk to them in language they understand. Have you got any examples of ‘corporate-speak’ that send totally the wrong message? Let me know below or discuss with other passengers in the forum.
