Great bus advert!

Most public transport adverting is based around getting over information. Very few ads are produced that try and change attitudes, probably because it is expensive and difficult to track the benefits. The ads that do try to do this are often a bit worthy.

Take a look at this one from Jutland in Denmark – really different. Funny, quirky and interesting – could this be the beginning of a new trend? I was speaking last night at a fringe meeting at the Lib Dem conference organised by Greener Journeys. One of the issues discussed was getting opinion formers outside of London to have a different approach to bus travel. Business leaders were cited as key people who need to think of buses as important. Could this sort of different approach help?

Of course, the product needs to live up to the ad, but the attitude is really refreshing:
