Integrated transport – north of the border

17 October 2011

Rare flight to Edinburgh – caught airport bus run by Lothian into city. Interesting rush of suits to get on bus – clearly not a mode of transport of last resort.  Modern, clean double-decker. Runs every ten minutes for most of the day and a return costs £6. It takes about 30 minutes and is good value for money. On board there are leather seats, wooden floor, really good information and takes you right outside Waverley station. Only downside is the tram building causing diversions and delays – ironic!
