Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat: East Midlands Trains does the right thing

Avid readers of my blog will recall my piece on visiting prospective universities by train. My sister and her daughter’s experiences were generally good, but getting back from Sheffield was not fun.

I did not know that my sister had put in a complaint prior to the posting of the blog. East Midlands Trains to itscredit (and before my blog went up) sent back a very well written, courteous reply enclosing lots of rail vouchers. Well done, a step on the road to restoring trust taken.

All’s well that ends well.
