The battle for space – wheelchairs v buggies

The two most fiercely contested bits of space on Britain’s transport system must be the wheelchair/buggy space on buses and the space for cyclists on roads. Both present really knotty problems about how to allocate the space available most fairly. Good to see TfGM raising awareness of the issues with this advert. While I am not convinced that public information posters of this type change the world at least they alert people to the issue.  The recent court cases on the issues may, in time, provide some clarity. We shall see but in the meantime bus drivers are left with an unenviable task of allocating the space…
