Passenger Focus will be holding a fringe debate at the Conservative party conference on Tuesday 30 September 2008.

The event will take place in the Banqueting Suite at the Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham at 6.00pm. The theme of the event will be ‘Can we give passengers world class train and bus services?’. The event will follow a question time format and Stephen Hammond MP, Shadow Minister for Transport, Cllr Tim Huxtable, Lead Member for Rail and Light Rail, West Midlands Passenger Transport Authority, Tony Depledge, Director, Transport Policy Development, Arriva PLC and a speaker from Network Rail (TBC) will join Passenger Focus Chief Executive Anthony Smith on the panel.

The debate will be chaired by Passenger Focus Chairman Colin Foxall CBE.

Alongside our fringe event we will be taking our promotional bus to Birmingham to promote the announcement that Passenger Focus will become the independent bus and coach consumer watchdog. The bus will be parked on Victoria Square, outside the Council House during the day on Tuesday 30 September. Why not come along and see us?
