Preston Rail User Group conference

Saturday 21 March 2009 will see Passenger Focus host a Rail User Group conference in Preston aimed at stakeholders in the North West of England.

Passenger Focus Board member Christine Knights will chair the event, and Passenger Link Managers Kerry Williamson and Julie Warburton, along with Development Co-ordinator, John Sears, will be providing support on the day.

Several presentations will be given, including those from:
• Merseyrail – its aims and objectives to gain the Secure Stations Award for all of its stations
• Network Rail – its plans for the next control phase and recent issues on the West Coast Main Line
• Northern Rail – current issues in the North West and its future plans
• Passenger Focus – our future role with buses.

Please note that presentations will be distributed as soon as they are made available.

In addition, there will be a Question and Answer panel made up of everyone above but also including train operator representatives from Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry and TransPennine Express.
