Transport Solutions in Rural Areas conference

Passenger Focus and TravelWatch NorthWest will be holding a joint ‘Transport Solutions in Rural Areas’ conference on Thursday 10 September 2009 at Carnforth Station.

The event aims to highlight the issues surrounding the provision of rural public transport in the North West. As well as regional aspects we are also looking to demonstrate solutions from other parts of the country. 

The conference agenda includes presentations from:

  • The Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company
  • Shropshire County Council
  • Norfolk Green Buses
  • Lake District National Park Authority.

Speakers will highlight the challenges facing operators, transport authorities and a range of stakeholders together with the solutions being practised in other parts of England.

There will be full opportunity for delegates to contribute and join in the discussions.
