King’s Cross station closure

The closure of London King’s Cross station over the August bank holiday weekend in 2019 is part of a wider programme of engineering work on the East Coast Main Line.

We worked with Network Rail and its partners to apply our knowledge from earlier major projects to make sure the impact on passengers was kept to a minimum. We hope that as the East Coast upgrade continues the railway acts on the findings of this report and improves the level of information so passengers are able to plan ahead.
