West Midlands Metro disruption – Transport Focus comment

Commenting on West Midlands Metro tram services being suspended due to cracks, Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith said:

“Passengers who depend on the Metro to go to work, to appointments or to do their shopping must be provided with other ways to travel without inconvenience or extra cost.

“These options should be communicated clearly with up-to-date information. This is a busy time of year and Transport for West Midlands and the combined authority must work together with bus and train operators to minimise disruption to passengers.”
