Single Justice Process court case

Alex Robertson, Chief Executive of Transport Focus – the independent transport watchdog commented on fare evasion prosecutions:

“Today’s decision on the incorrect use of the Single Justice Process for prosecution of rail passengers for fare evasion potentially impacts thousands of passengers.

We’ll be looking to rail companies and the courts to quickly ensure that those affected have any fines refunded and convictions overturned.”
