Closure of the M25 motorway – Transport Focus comment

Alex Robertson, Chief executive at the independent watchdog, Transport Focus said:

“Closing the M25 is an important part of improving England’s motorways and major A roads and the decision won’t have been taken lightly. What’s important is that this is done in a way that minimises the impact on road users.   

We’ve been speaking to National Highways to make sure sufficient information is communicated in advance and will be monitoring what happens in practice. Anyone thinking of driving near this part of the M25 at the weekend should plan ahead.”
