1 October rail strikes – passengers’ intent to travel

On Saturday 1 October national rail strikes will impact almost the whole network.

During this period of ongoing disruption, which started in June, Transport Focus has been working to help reduce the impact on those affected, including by speaking to passengers directly to gather their experiences.

We spoke to a representative sample of more than 2000 people across Britain between 23 and 25 September, to find out how the upcoming strike on Saturday (1 October) and continuing disruption on Sunday would affect their travel plans.
