West Midlands Trains ticket office proposals – Transport Focus response

On 31 October 2023 Transport Focus objected to train company proposals to close ticket offices. Subsequently, the Department for Transport and train companies announced that all plans had been withdrawn.

Transport Focus did not produce a formal response to West Midlands Trains’ ticket office proposals. West Midlands Trains notified Transport Focus of significant changes to its proposals in mid-October 2023 and extended the deadline for Transport Focus’s response to 28 November, but withdrew these proposals before the review was complete.

This letter outlines Transport Focus’s feedback which was subsequently provided.
