What makes for a clean and safe railway?

Transport Focus has worked with the Department for Transport to understand how cleanliness and personal security on trains and at stations impacts the passenger experience.

This qualitative research programme seeks to understand what it is about cleanliness and personal security that creates a lasting memory of a passenger’s journey. We will use this research to help the rail industry focus attention on the things that really matter when it comes to cleanliness, maintenance and personal security to help deliver a better passenger experience and higher levels of satisfaction.
