Welcome audio and visual funding to make buses more accessible

Commenting on audio and visual funding for buses, David Sidebottom, director at Transport Focus, said:

“We know that more than 20 per cent of bus journeys are made by people with a disability or long-term illness – and that, like other passengers, their top priority is reliability. They will welcome news of more audio-visual equipment on buses as that can be crucial in helping them complete a journey. Our research shows that audio-visual facilities can lift levels of passenger satisfaction with the information provided by up to 20 per cent.”
