Aslef union members reject Southern deal – Transport Focus response
03 April 2017
Anthony Smith, chief executive at the independent watchdog, commenting on Aslef members rejecting a proposed resolution to the dispute with Southern railway, said:
“Southern passengers’ hopes that they’d seen an end to strikes by Aslef train drivers has been dashed once again. They have had enough of the on-going industrial action. They have faced months of lost time, lost money and deep frustration at not being able to rely on the trains.
“It is vital that all parties in this dispute get back around the table to bring the services back to normal as soon as possible.”
