Bank holiday engineering works and strikes

Commenting on the upcoming bank holiday engineering works and strikes, Transport Focus director David Sidebottom, said:

“Passengers will need plenty of advance information about alternative ways to travel due to engineering works this bank holiday weekend. These works could be a major inconvenience, especially if it means having to use rail replacement bus services or make longer, unfamiliar journeys.

“With many people set to visit family and friends as the summer winds down, the additional industrial action does not help the situation either and passengers will likely be frustrated with the overall lack of train services.”
