Broadband on trains – Passenger Focus response

Today the Department for Transport announced the roll-out of high-speed broadband across the rail network.

Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent watchdog Passenger Focus, said:

“Passengers, particularly business passengers, tells us that they value the ability to work on the train and many consider it as a key benefit of travelling by rail. Passengers will welcome this investment in more reliable internet access and telephone calls.”
