Four more rail strike days – Transport Focus response

Rail workers at various train companies will go on strike on Friday 12 May, Saturday 13 May, Wednesday 31 May and Saturday 3 June 2023.

 Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith said:

“It is passengers who suffer most in the event of industrial action. Those with travel plans on the four dates announced will be bitterly disappointed that they’re being messed about.  As well as travel for Eurovision and the men’s FA Cup final, many individual trips will have to be rearranged or cancelled.

“Passengers will expect the two sides to keep talking to try to get a settlement.  This dispute has dragged on far too long and risks long term damage to people’s trust in the railway.”
