Transport User Voice – December 2019 – Highways UK in review
28 November 2019
Sharing our insight into road users
What are road users’ priorities for improvement? How do lorry drivers’ experiences compare to car drivers? And which are the best motorway services?
Transport Focus has once again featured at industry showcase Highways UK. The event, now in its fifth year, is a key date in the roads industry calendar.
We’ve been a part of this event since its conception in 2015 and as the event has grown, so has our presence with our exhibition stand and other events over the two days.
Chief Executive Anthony Smith took part in the event’s opening keynote session, while later the same morning we hosted a packed roads information thought leadership event with guest participants from Highways England, Office of Rail and Road, the RAC and Kier Highways.
We spoke to a large number of stakeholders involved in the roads sector, to give out and discuss our latest research and to demonstrate the Strategic Roads User Survey (SRUS) via our live data hub.
We also judged a roads innovation competition category for road users. A busy but worthwhile two days for everyone involved.
Although this year’s event is over, we are already looking forward to the early stages of planning for 2020. Hopefully we’ll see you there!
