Hitachi trains to return to service – Transport Focus comment

Following the news that Hitachi, train operators and Government have agreed a plan to reintroduce more Class 800 and 385 trains, Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith commented:

“Passengers will be pleased to hear there is a plan to get the Hitachi trains back in service safely. Train companies and ticket retailers need to make sure it’s clear which trains are running and which are cancelled, including over the coming weekend. Being absolutely clear whether times in online journey planners are or aren’t correct is an important starting point.”
