Investment into reopening rail lines – Transport Focus comment

Today the Department for Transport announced a £794 million investment package into reopening East West Rail and the Northumberland Line.

Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith commented:

“This ongoing investment and commitment to rail travel is welcome. Reopening these lines will provide more sustainable choices for future passengers.”
