Passenger Focus’s tram survey up for an award
04 October 2013
Passenger Focus’s new tram survey is in the running for a national research award.
The Market Research Society shortlisted our research team and contracted research agency (PRS) for its Data Collection Award. This recognises innovation leading to outstanding data.
The Tram Passenger Survey was designed to benchmark passenger satisfaction across the growing number of tram systems in England, complementing our existing rail (NPS) and bus (BPS) passenger surveys. In the pilot of the survey, we tried both traditional paper and online survey options.
Ian Wright, head of research at Passenger Focus, said: “The pilot study showed that providing passengers with this choice increased participation from younger passengers while maintaining a good response rate from older passengers.”
The winners will be announced at the MRS Awards on 9 December 2013.
