Strikes, bus tickets and greener transport – our chief executive covered all this and more in his blog.
We wrote to West Midlands Trains to encourage it to do everything possible to keep passengers on the move in the run-up to Christmas, as threatened strikes add misery to passengers already affected by poor performance.
Anthony said: “As well as working to solve the dispute, the railway must get information about what is and isn’t running crystal clear so passengers can plan.” Read more.

As we published one of our first joint pieces of work with London TravelWatch, a consultation response on carbon offsetting, Anthony looked at whether you can you go greener when you have little choice in what transport you use. He said: “When you need to get to work on time, convenience is king – it is easy for the environmental factor to slip down your list of priorities. We look to operating companies and the authorities to consider the environment.” Read more.
