Passenger Voice November 2015: London and South Coast Rail corridor: have your say

30 October 2015

Should London and the south coast services get more investment? The Department for Transport (DfT) is looking at whether the Brighton main line adequately serves passengers and would like to hear your views.

Following the Chancellor’s announcement in the 2015 summer budget, the DfT is considering whether improvements to existing line or a new line could improve journeys between London and the south coast.

The DfT would like to hear your opinions on the proposed schemes, to listen to views on the schemes’ practicality and whether this will meet passengers’ needs.

Recent years have seen ongoing demand for rail services between London and the south coast. Transport Focus would like to highlight this opportunity for stakeholders and local user groups to have their say.

If you would like to take part please contact Graham James at WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff (consultants working on behalf of DfT) on 020 7314 4639 or jamesg@pbworld.com. The WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff project team is keen to speak with local user groups and other stakeholders in early November.
